My Winter Break

The year 2014 has just started, and my relaxing time is over, which was great!

On the 25th, we packed up and left for Nagano to enjoy skiing. We stayed at a hotel close to slopes of Shiga Kogen. After about an hour ride on the bus from Nagano Station, we got to the hotel around noon. We skied all the afternoon in a great condition - the weather was perfect and there were not too many people there. When skiing, you feel yore surrounded by nature - wind, sunshine, snow, trees - and I realized that's why I love going skiing so much! I had two bathes - before and after the dinner - to help ease my muscle pain, which I'd already had right after my skiing. The food was great too. I'd love to go skiing more often!

 

After the 3-day skiing, I left for Seoul and stayed two nights in Myeon-dong. I've been to Seoul several times, but I wasn't really interested in spending time in Myeon-dong before. But Myeon-dong is so convenient to do anything. I have to admit it. I tried Korean Sauna, called Hanjunmak 汗蒸幕 for the first time, with my friend, and that was much much better than I expected. Soooo refreshing! On our way to the restaurant I'd checked before, the street was full of street foods that looked delicious and interesting, and we had to try really hard not to get some of those before reaching the restaurant! We went to see Nanta performance too. The theater is also in the middle of Myeon-dong. This was my second time to see the now world-famous non-verbal music and dance performance using kitchen stuff, e.g., pans, pots, knives, spoons, plates, vegetables. It was fun, but my Nanta expert friend, who's seeing Nanta more than twenty times, said the team needs more practice ;-) Now I'm back in Japan, feeling fully recharged!
